Jayess & Co.

Engineering in five dimensions

The same records the rest of this site is built from, read as one sequence: what is built, the work before it is built, how it is made, what can be independently checked, and where it is used. Nothing on this page is written for it — every fact is resolved from a record, and each dimension states plainly what it does not publish.

  1. 01

    Product

What is built, and what is actually known about it.

Every family Jayess makes, each carrying the specification values it holds and a stated reason for every value it does not. A rating set per order says so. A rating that is unpublished says why.

This is the whole catalogue rather than a selection. Nothing is left out for being unglamorous.

    12families published
28values held, each naming its source
    34set per order
    15withheld, each with a reason

Not publishedPrices, lead times and production capacity are published nowhere on this site. None has been supplied as a record, and a figure stated without one would be a guess wearing the clothes of a specification.

  2. 02

    Engineering

The work done before anything is cut or wound.

Sizing, selection, schematic and general-arrangement work, and the consultancy that sits in front of a build. Each capability lists its own scope and names the evidence behind it.

Where a capability is real but its evidence is thin, the record says which of the two is missing rather than blurring the difference.

    Manufacturing

Winding to dispatch, photographed at the works.

The sequence below is the set of manufacturing stages the photograph records themselves carry, put in works order. Every frame appears under the stage its own record names.

The counts are uneven and the winding stage is empty. Its one record exists but the photograph has not been supplied, so that stage says so instead of borrowing a frame from assembly to fill itself.

    Testing & evidence

What can be checked by somebody who does not work here.

Every certificate and licence with its reference, issuing body and validity, and the works testing station the panels are proved on. Where a document is held but not quotable, the record states the limitation instead of quoting it anyway.

The ISO certificate is independently verifiable at iafcertsearch.org. That is the standard the rest of this dimension is held to.

    Application

    Where this equipment is used.

The applications listed against each family, drawn from the family records rather than written as marketing copy. They describe the duty the equipment is built for.

They are not a customer list and are not presented as one.

Not publishedNo named customer, site or installed project is published. Jayess has supplied no project record and no written permission to name a client, so the project register in the content system is empty — and an anonymous "leading manufacturer in the north" would be worth less than saying nothing.
