Distribution transformers

Dry-type and oil-filled distribution transformers, wound and tested at Faridabad works.

Core stacked and coils wound in-house. Oil-filled units are tanked, fitted with bushings and radiators; dry-type units are finished for their enclosure and duty. Both are tested before dispatch.

At the works

A transformer tank with pressed-steel radiator banks on both sides, lifting lugs at the corners, and an orange-fronted control box mounted on top carrying indicator lamps and a display. A Jayess & Co. label is fixed to the tank.
Radiator banks either side of the tank, controller mounted on top. No nameplate is legible in the frame, so no rating or voltage class is stated.
